I'm someone who loves to switch up my base products with the seasons changing and for Summer there's nothing better than a lightweight foundation. I find it so much easier to build up a light foundation using fine layers instead of just slathering on a heavy, full coverage foundation. I've heard so many amazing things about the new BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Foundation (27€) so I thought, this would be the perfect base for my Summer makeup!
It's got a lovely gel-like texture and really smooths over the skin. It's hydrating properties are actually great for my combination skin as it leaves a luminous glow to the skin that lasts throughout the day. I'm all about that glow for summer! You're supposed to apply this foundation with your fingertips but I'm using my Sephora Mini Multitasker Brush (10€) and it blends into my skin perfectly. I'm using the shade 03 Buttercream and it's such a great match for my skin tone.
As you can see in the photo, I applied a thin layer all over my face. It feels so light on the skin but covers really well. My skin feels well moisturized and what I love most about it - it doesn't cling to my dry patches! I have so many foundations that dry my face out and show every little edge of skin, so I'm very happy about that. I also love that Bare Minerals don't use any oil, parabens or silicones.
Other than that, it's got SPF 30 which is amazing for daily wear over the summer months. I'd say its's a mixture of BB cream, CC cream and tinted moisturizer, all wrapped up into one. Complexion Rescue comes in 10 different shades, so there's something for every skin tone and costs 27€. Now, what do you think? Have you tried this foundation?
